The Hon Bill Shorten MP

After being elected Labor member for Maribyrnong in 2007, and soon after appointed Parliamentary Secretary for Disabilities and Children's Services, Bill is now the Leader of the Australian Labor Party.

Prior to his move into Federal Parliament, Bill was a high-profile figure in the union movement as the National Secretary of the Australian Workers' Union.

While he's a man who's often referred to as a future Australian Prime Minister, Bill has also been the interim CEO of the Australian Netball Players' Association, on the advisory board to the Australian Cricketers' Association and Patron of the Australian Jockeys' Association.
