Richard Eckersley
Richard Eckersley is a fellow of the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health at the Australian National University, Canberra. Richard's work is framed by the question: "Is life getting better or worse?" As such, he is the co-author of a national index of subjective wellbeing, the first of its kind in the world.
Richard is a founding Board member of Australia 21, a not-for-profit company set up to address, through interdisciplinary research and development, some of the major challenges facing Australia this century.
His work has been brought together in his latest book, Well & Good: How we feel and why it matters. Richard has also edited and contributed to three other books and has been widely published in journals, papers, book chapters, monographs, and specialist magazine articles.
