Mary O'Hagan

Mary O'Hagan used mental health services in New Zealand for eight years as a young woman and ever since has worked to make a difference to the way society and services respond to people with lived experience of major mental distress.

An international speaker, consultant and writer, and a thought leader on service user perspectives and recovery, Mary is a former New Zealand Mental Health Commissioner. She is well known for her unique experience in recovery-based services and systems, anti-discrimination and social inclusion.
